It is a decent enough and solid IR flashlight and I ordered a 940nm version. My previous experience with 940nm lights has them emit a dim purplish/red glow at the LED that is less visible to the naked eye than 850nm which produces a cigarette or cigar-like red glow at the LED that is visible to the naked eye for 10s of yards. My "940nm" torch looks to me to be identical in that regard to 850nm. For this reason I cannot actually tell if the specs printed on the outside of the light body are correct. It is a bright LED and it is a bright red glow from the LED that is visible like an 850nm so it doesn't provide the additional "stealth" that I usually associate with 940nm. Battery life is normal for such a light and battery combo, so no issues there. The beam is adjustable from long-distance spot to broader beam and more diffuse, which is nice.

Although it is made well I used an infa red camera to check the distance.I could barely get 50 feet out of it. The photos you show is not what I see.

I got this to add more IR to my body Cam with night vision.This thing works great in conjunction with my Night Camera.Remember, without your electronic video the illumination of this light is invisible to the naked eye.Works great. 2 of the pictures are taken on total darkness

It works well with a PVS-7 and PVS-14 night vision. Obviously not as bright as a laser generated illuminator but helpful in low light conditions.
