They worked great for directing night time traffic. Just what I wanted.

My great grandson recently flew on an airplane and during the connecting flight he saw the marshalls directing in the planes...he was mesmerized.....imitating their actions with straws (he's 5). I ordered him the safety vest and these. It has been educational for him as well as entertainment. Great purchase...the sticks are well made and work perfect for a 5 yr old.

UF-303 Traffic Wand Flashlight

The “flare” screws on and popped off several times, while directing traffic, not very bright past the initial 10 minutes of fresh batteries.

Pretty good quality for the price. I wish it took AA batteries instead of AAAs, but I can deal.

Two problems:

* The power button is on the bottom. This is ergonomically wrong, since it requires two hands to turn it on. It should be on the side, so it can be turned on and off with one hand...

...this is important because...

* There's a flashing mode that needs to be avoided, and you'll be pressing the power button a lot to turn it off. The speed of the flashing may be too fast for such a bright object, and may induce seizures.
