I bought it to cure UV resin jewelry, but the beam has such an intense hot spot in the middle that it cures the center too fast while leaving the edges tacky. It’s built like a tank, but if you need a wide, even wash of light for close-up work, this might be too concentrated.

The throw on this UV light is absolutely insane. I use it for hunting Yooperlites on the beach. Most UV lights only work if you are a few feet away, but the concentrated beam on this thing easily lights up glowing rocks from way down the shoreline. The black filter blocks out the visible light perfectly.

The only downside is that the steel ball strike bezel is pretty aggressive; it scratched up my truck console when I tossed it in there. I actually use this for night photography and stargazing tours. The 10W green beam is so tightly focused by the reflector that it literally looks like a laser pointer reaching up to the stars. It perfectly points out constellations and doesn't ruin your night vision like white light does. The Type-C charging is super convenient too.
The light itself is great and the focused beam is intensely bright for reaching out across a field. But I'm giving it 3 stars because the included super clamp didn't fit my specific thick barrel setup very well. I ended up just keeping it in my pocket as a handheld light. Works fine, but the mount wasn't for me.
