I picked up the UltraFire RUV3 because I’ve been dealing with small, itchy bumps on my hands and wanted a true 365nm light to check my skin more clearly. I’ve bought a few “UV flashlights” before, but most of them were more blue than UV and barely showed anything.

This one is completely different.

The ZWB2 filter makes a huge difference — instead of flooding everything with white/blue light, it gives a clean, pure 365nm beam. When I shine it on my skin, the texture and tiny bumps pop out instantly (you can see in the photos). With my older UV lights, I could barely tell anything was there.

It helped me confirm what I was looking for, and it’s now something I use regularly.

If you need a true UV flashlight for checking skin, scorpions, minerals, cleaning, whatever — the RUV3 is absolutely worth it. Clearer output, no visible light washout, and way more effective than the cheap ones online.

I use this in my forensic work to check stains and IDs. Super clear UV beam, not all that extra purple junk most cheap lights have. Two brightness levels are handy, and it feels tough for something so small.

I live out in Arizona and use this at night to check around for scorpions. Works amazing—bright, clean UV that makes them pop right away. Light, easy to carry, and charges fast with USB. Love it.

Crazy bright UV and really clean output, but the battery runs out quicker on high power than I expected. I just keep it on low most of the time and it’s perfect. Still one of the best I’ve used.

I’ve tried a bunch of UV flashlights for rocks, and this one’s easily the best. The light is super pure—no purple haze at all. Makes minerals glow like crazy. Feels solid, battery lasts a good while, and it’s nice not having to mess with AA batteries anymore.
