UltraFire ZWB2 Filter UV Series: The Professional Standard in Ultraviolet Clarity
See the Invisible. Clearly.

Most standard UV flashlights emit too much visible purple glare, which hides the very things you are trying to see. Our filtered series solves this. Every light in this collection features integrated ZWB2 Black Glass Filters. This precision glass strictly blocks distracting visible light, allowing only the pure UV beam to pass through.

The Result: Unmatched contrast and clarity that makes fluorescence pop with vivid detail

Frequently asked questions

Have questions? We’re here to help

Title

Q: What is a ZWB2 filter, and why do I need it?

A: Simply put, it is a piece of special black glass that filters out "junk light." A standard UV flashlight emits UV light, but also a lot of purple light you can see. That purple glare washes out fluorescent reactions. The ZWB2 filter blocks almost all the visible purple light, leaving you with a pure, powerful, high-contrast UV beam.

Q: What wavelength should I choose (365nm, 310nm, or 254nm)?

A: The "best" wavelength depends entirely on what you want to see. UV light is invisible, but it makes different materials glow (fluoresce).

365nm (Longwave): The industry standard. Choose this for checking currency/IDs, leak detection, forensic analysis, finding pet stains, curing UV resin, and hunting certain minerals (like Yooperlite).

254nm / 310nm (Shortwave / Midwave): Specialized tools. Choose these primarily for geology and advanced mineral identification. Many stones that do not react to 365nm will glow brightly under these wavelengths. Note: These shorter wavelengths require extra safety precautions (eye/skin protection).

Q: What are the main use cases for this filtered collection?

A: Because of the enhanced clarity, this series is the best choice for:

Quality Inspection: Non-destructive testing (NDT), identifying cracks, or checking for conformal coatings.

Geology/Mineralogy: Hunting for fluorescent minerals in the field with maximum contrast.

Document Verification: Spotting security threads and watermarks in passports and currency without visible glare.

Automotive/HVAC: Detecting fluorescent dyes used to find oil or refrigerant leaks.

Q: Is filtered UV light safe to use?

A: Yes, but powerful UV light is a tool that requires respect. The ZWB2 filter increases the purity of the beam, making the UV output more potent. Never look directly into the beam and always avoid shining the light on bare skin, especially with 254nm and 310nm models. UV-blocking safety glasses are always recommended. (Note: We are currently giving away free UV protective glasses for a limited time, so don't miss out!)
