"Unlike one other reviewer here, I did receive a 940nm unit. This means there is negligible visible glow, and great brightness under NV. The power and focus adjust are fantastic to keep from blooming out my NV and get the correct FOV. A dim green light on the tailcap lets you know when the light is on, otherwise there would be no real way to distinguish if the button were accidentally pressed."

Excellent adjustable alternative to IR illuminators.

I wanted something that I could adjust for my night vision scope. The infrared illuminator that came with it was just way too bright for anything close. I have my night scope mounted on my crossbow. Being able to turn it down is really nice for stuff close (under 40 yards).

Best light available for NV, but hard to mount

I'm very impressed with this light. The tailcap has adjustable power and is easy to click. The head is easy to zoom. The beam is very useable, clean and even without hotspots. Can be adjusted very wide for a flood effect or narrow enough to reach 300 yards or more. It's so much better than the 940nM light I had previously. I don't think there's anything else on the market that compares.The body diameter is 28mm, making it hard to find a mount. The best one I found for it is the 'UTG Angled Offset Low Profile Ring Mount' which is 27mm and worked fine.
