I used this for my gen 1 nvg and it’s pretty good for a cheap ir light. It’s also pretty good when it comes to illuminate darker areas I can see a very good amount and the light reaches a decent distance too.

Awesome IR light. Completely invisible to the naked eye. 5 stars.

Perfect for observing wildlife in the backyard without disturbing them. My night vision monocular picks up the 940nm beam beautifully. The compact size (barely 5 inches extended) makes it super easy to carry in a jacket pocket.

The light works fine, but keep in mind that 20-50 meters is the absolute maximum range depending on the quality of your night vision gear. The zoom is a nice feature, but it's really just a basic single-mode IR illuminator. Good for close-range stuff, but don't expect to see hundreds of yards away.
