I travel for work and always use the 365nm setting to scan hotel beds. The contrast is incredible and it spots things that ordinary lights miss. The build quality feels very durable, easily surviving being tossed in my luggage.

We get bark scorpions in our backyard, and the 395nm mode on this light makes them light up like crazy. It has great throw distance, so I can spot them from far away before letting the dogs out.

The 365nm beam is fantastic for hitting flea markets and checking for uranium glass. It really makes the vaseline glass pop without the blinding purple glare. I gave it 4 stars because it's a bit thicker than my old pen light, but the dual modes make it worth the extra size.

I do a lot of small repairs around the house using UV glue, and the 395nm setting cures it completely solid in seconds. It's a very sturdy piece of equipment and doesn't feel cheap at all.
