Crazy find in the garage this weekend. Spotted these huge scorpions with this blacklight. The contrast is amazing, they lit up like neon signs without lighting up the whole room purple. I quickly realized these aren't our normal local scorpions—these things are massive, exotic, and honestly pretty aggressive. Looks like some kind of invasive species made its way here. Because the light reaches so far, I was able to safely capture them without getting too close. Got them locked up in a terrarium right now and I'm waiting for the state animal control guys to come out and deal with them. The flashlight did its job perfectly.

No annoying purple light everywhere. Just makes the bugs glow. Can see them from 30 feet away easy.

Really good for sweeping the block walls in our backyard. The beam is super tight so it reaches the top of the wall easily. I knocked off a star because the light is honestly a bit too narrow if you're trying to quickly scan your whole living room floor inside, but for checking the yard outdoors it's exactly what you want.
